Child/hoods Research Collective

Our site in the Historic South End also serves as the physical “home” to the Child/hoods Research Collective — a group of international scholars across the fields of early childhood education and childhood studies who collaborate on research with the shared goal of highlighting the complex relations between children and the neighborhoods in which they live, play, go to school, and participate. The researchers in this collective share a strong commitment to ethical research participation, post-foundational theorizing, and post-developmental and post-colonial understandings of young children and families. Members of the collective meet at least twice per year for the purposes of collaboration and research creation.
